Geography Department

This department has stood out in performance in the the last three
years with a slight decline in 2014. The department is still optimistic of
a better result in the years to come.Optimism remains our tone.
Currently, our candidates taking geography are 75 while the precandidates are 150.This increase has been attributed to good results
over the years-a pool factor; however, this has increased the need for
the department to re-equip itself in terms of instructional materials and the teaching force, among other things.

Geography And Humanities Department
The teaching team of the department is made up of experienced and professional personalities who are self driven. This self drive is the fulcrum on which the department turns. This promises a better and brighter tomorrow. The department is tasked with instilling the love of reading and research in the students. This is achieved by giving all the students equal platform to explore their geographic environment right from form one.

For example, the 2014 candidates had a successful academic field trip that took them to the highest points of the Rift Valley in Keiyo District in Elgeyo Marakwet County to Nakuru County. Plans are underway to take the 2015 candidates to Mombasa County for an academic trip for a further practical exploration of the coastal land forms.

Finally, we thank the Administration, the sponsors, members of staff and the students for the support they have accorded the department. Unity and focus are assurances of greater achievement in the department’s endeavors.

“Mathew 5.6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”

Mr,Preston Ogwari HOD.
